From the composer: “Slowly Revealing” began as a solo piano piece, “Revealing,” inspired by the idea of meeting God or experiencing an awakening. This orchestral version reflects the meditative process of reaching that moment, with each layer unfolding gradually, as if drawing closer to a deeper understanding or presence. The video for this piece, however, takes a surprising approach to meeting the creator of our reality. Video created with Sora.
From the composer: I wrote "Icarus" to intertwine the ominous and heroic, reflecting on humanity's hubris in overlooking the sun’s power, the dangers of pollution, and the escalating impact of global warming. The video opens with breathtaking footage from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, capturing the sun’s immense energy and grandeur. It transitions to a global map created by NASA climate scientists, illustrating carbon dioxide concentrations in Earth's atmosphere from January to March 2020. This high-resolution visualization reveals emissions from power plants, fires, and cities as the gases spread across the planet driven by wind and atmospheric circulation. The final shot, "Golden Sun Above The Horizon" by James Cheney, sourced from Pexels, provides a hauntingly beautiful ending.
From the composer: “Promised Ending” is my attempt to respond to the profound disappointment following the U.S. election, capturing the atmosphere of collective grief. It begins with the quiet realization that things are going awry, unfolding into a slow-moving lament—a reflection on the country’s concession to a deepened darkness and an uncertain future. Video is sourced from C-SPAN’s live coverage.
From the composer: It's four years since January 6th. I wrote “Ode to the Breach” in reaction to the chaos of that day and the political climate that continues even now. Music has a unique power to help us feel reality, and I hope this piece contributes to remembering and understanding the gravity of what happened. The video incorporates publicly available footage from The House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, interspersed with news reports from CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC. The final shot is designed by tarazz on Videobolt. Let’s not forget what happened. Artists can help.
